● The following guidelines are recommended when setting a password, to prevent a
third party from gaining unauthorized access.
• Use at least 13 characters
• Use a mixture of letters and numbers
• Change it regularly
• If the password is written down, do not store it out in the open
• Do not reuse the same password, or use a similar password
• Do not use the vehicle name or license plate number, or a common word found
in the dictionary or the like
• Do not substitute letters for common dictionary words in a way that would be
easy to guess (for example, using "c@t" instead of "cat")
