5-2. Steps to take in an emergency

If you cannot operate back door opener
Remove the cover on the back
door trim.
Remove the screw and cover.
(Vehicle without power back door)
Push the lever with the back door
motor, open the back door.
If the back door opener does not operate, there may be a problem with the
back door opener system. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus
dealer.
The following steps may be used as an emergency measure to ensure that
the back door can be opened from the inside.
