Engine start/stop
a ) Carry the electronic key in the vehicle
and apply the parking brake.
b ) Check that the shift lever is in the "P" po-
sition.
c ) When depressing the brake pedal, check
that the green engine switch illuminator
comes on.
d ) Press the engine switch regardless of
brake position to stop the engine.
B03. CHECK ENGINE IMMOBILIZ-
ER SYSTEM
a ) Check that the security indicator light
flashes when the engine switch selects
the "OFF" mode.
b ) Check that the engine can be started us-
ing all the keys (master and sub keys).
c ) Check that the security indicator light
turns off when starting the engine.
B04. CHECK SEAT BELTS
Check seat belts operation.
a ) Check that each belt extends and re-
tracts smoothly.
b ) Check that the belt lengths are not twist-
ed.
c ) Check that the buckles lock securely and
release smoothly.
