B08. CHECK OUTSIDE REAR
VIEW MIRRORS
a ) Check power outside rear view mirror
operation with the engine switch in the
"ACC" or "IG-ON" mode.
1. Operate the master switch “L“ (left)
and “R“ (right) and move the control
switch in the desired direction (up,
down or side-to-side). Check that the
mirrors operate smoothly.
2. Press the right side of the mirror fold-
ing switch to fold the mirror, and press
the left side of the switch to extend the
mirror.

b ) With the engine switch in the "IG-ON"
mode, check that the mirrors move down
quickly by the following operation.
• Put the shift lever in the "R" position.
• Press "L" (left mirror) or "R" (right mir-
ror) on the master switch.
c ) Check the operation of the mirror defog-
gers.
Press the rear window and outside rear
view mirror defogger switch with the en-
gine switch in the "IG-ON" mode, check
by hand that the rear window and rear
view mirrors become hot.
d ) Check that the outer foot light operates
properly in the following conditions.
• When entering the effective range of
the smart access function (about 1 m
(3.3 ft) from each outside door handle)
with carrying the electronic key.
• The doors are unlocked with the wire-
less remote control.
• The doors are unlocked with power
door lock switch on the driver's side.
• The shift lever is moved out of the "P"
position.
NOTE:
Check that the outer foot lights illuminate
for 15 seconds and then go off.
