D01. CHECK ENGINE HOOD RE-
LEASE LEVER
Check that the opening and closing of the
engine hood is smooth and that the latch op-
erates properly using the engine hood re-
lease lever.
D02. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL
(ENGINE NOT RUNNING)
a ) Remove the engine oil level dipstick and
wipe it clean. Reinsert the dipstick and
pull it out to check the oil level. The level
should be between the two marks.

b ) Check for dirt or impurities in the oil.
NOTICE:
If the oil level is too low, add specified en-
gine oil and check for oil leaks.
