D08. CHECK WIRING AND HOSE
a ) Check the hoses, hose connectors and
various clamps for tightness.
b ) Visually inspect the condition of all har-
ness connectors and terminals for prop-
er installation and tightness.
D09. CHECK ENGINE OPERA-
TION (COLD)
Check that the engine operation is smooth
when cold (engine stability, no noise, engine
vibration or rough idle, etc.).
D10. CHECK ENGINE OPERA-
TION (DURING/AFTER
WARM-UP)
Check that the engine operation is smooth
during/after warm-up (no abnormal noise,
engine vibration, rough idle, etc.).
D11. CHECK ELECTRIC COOLING
FANS
a ) Check that the engine cooling fan rotate
smoothly when the engine coolant is
hot.
CAUTION:
The engine cooling fan are controlled de-
pending on engine coolant temperature. Do
not touch the fans when the engine is hot.
b ) Turn the air conditioning on and built up
sufficient pressure. Then, check that the
electric cooling fans turn on and rotate
smoothly.
CAUTION:
The electric cooling fan are controlled de-
pending on air conditioning refrigerant pres-
sure. Do not touch the fans when the “A/C”
switch is turned on.
