6-3. Do-it-yourself maintenance
1 Turn the power switch off.
2 Remove the air intake vent cover.
To prevent damage, cover the tip of the
screwdriver with a rag.
There is also an air intake vent on the left
side.
Type A:
Disengage the 4 claws as shown in the
illustration, and pull the cover toward the
front of the vehicle to remove it.
Type B:
Insert a screwdriver to disengage the
claws in order from 1 in the illustration, and
then pull the air intake vent cover towards
you to remove it.
The air intake vent cover on the left side is a
type A.
3 Remove the filter from the air
intake vent cover.
If dust has accumulated on the air intake
vent cover, remove the dust with a vacuum
cleaner, etc.
Type A:
Disengage the claws in the order of (2
claws) and (2 claws) to remove the fil-
ter from the air intake vent cover.
