When the interior lights or headlights do not illuminate and the engine
cannot be started
Cause Remedy
The battery may be dis-
charged.
Restarting the engine using the jumper (or booster)
cables.
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be
repaired, or if repair procedures are unknown.
One or both of the bat-
tery terminals may be dis-
connected.
Check if a battery terminal is disconnected.
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be
repaired, or if repair procedures are unknown.
The steering lock system
may be malfunctioning.
Contact your Lexus dealer.
