1-4. Opening and closing the windows and retractable hardtop

Before driving
■ Audio sound adjustment
When you open or close the retractable hardtop, audio sound is automatically
adjusted. (P.14 8 )
To avoid serious injury, you must do the following:
■ When opening or closing the retractable hardtop
● Make sure all passengers and surrounding persons are clear of the mechanism. If
someone does become caught in the mechanism, release the switch immediately
to cease operation.
● Keep hands away from the hinges of the hardtop side rails and any other part of
the hardtop linkage mechanism.
● Do not release the switch in the middle of operation unless absolutely necessary.
The roof will be gradually lowed, resulting in personal injury and damage to the
hardtop mechanism.
● Do not operate in strong winds.
■ While the vehicle is moving
● The vehicle should never be driven with the retractable hardtop partially open.
● While the vehicle is moving with the hardtop open, passengers should not stand
on the seats, nor sit on or lean over the package tray.
■ When small children are in the vehicle
● Never leave small children alone in the vehicle, especially if the ignition key is
inserted, as they may accidentally become trapped in the retractable hardtop or
windows.
● Never let small children operate the retractable hardtop switch.
