If the fuse is not blown, perform the following procedure:
1. Apply the parking brake, turn the ignition to LOCK, then remove the
key.
2. Using a smooth, non-metallic tool
(such as a plastic screwdriver, or
equivalent) between the shift lever
spacer and the console top plate,
remove the spacer around the
gearshift by pressing on both sides
as not to break the retaining clips
on each side, then lift the spacer to
access the override cartridge. Use
caution not to damage the
plastic spacer when prying it
away from the bezel assembly.
3. Insert the tool as shown and turn
to access the override mechanism.
