Anti-Static Wrist Strap – Instructions for use
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE!
SAFETY NOTE: When using the Anti-Static wrist strap, for effective grounding,
you should leave the mains cable connected to both the equipment you are
working on and the mains wall outlet. However, to prevent the risk of electric
shock YOU MUST SWITCH THE MAINS POWER OFF at the wall socket!!
1. Leave the mains cable connected to the equipment and the wall outlet, but
SWITCH OFF THE MAINS SOCKET!
Must be OFF!
2. Place the wrist strap on your wrist.
Adjust to ensure a tight but
comfortable fit.
3. Attach the crocodile clip to an
unpainted metal part of the
equipment’s chassis.
