Usage Features:
The LSL-205's main body includes a top cover, AC/DC charging port, control panel, rechargeable battery compartment, mounting bracket with a 5/8" thread, spinning module, and window glass.
The control panel features:
- On/Off Button: Controls the power state of the instrument.
- Power / Low Battery Indicator: When on, the instrument is starting up. When it blinks, it indicates insufficient battery voltage, requiring the rechargeable batteries to be charged.
- Mode Indicator: When on, the instrument is leveling manually. When it blinks, it indicates an alarm (the slope of the instrument is out of range).
- Anti-shocking Mode Button: Press to enter anti-shocking alert mode. In this mode, the laser stops spinning if the unit is bumped or disturbed, requiring the user to reset the laser unit.
- Anti-shocking Alert Indicator: Blinking slowly indicates the Automatic Drift System model is active. Blinking quickly indicates the laser will not level.
Operations:
- Instrument Placement: For horizontal leveling, place the instrument on a tripod, a stable flat surface, or hang it on a wall. Ensure the instrument is upright and its slope is within the -5° to +5° range.
- Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to activate automatic leveling. The power indicator lights up. If the power indicator lights but blinks, the batteries are insufficient and need charging. Press the ON/OFF button again to switch off the instrument, and the power indicator will go out.
- Leveling: When the ON/OFF button is pressed, the laser beam will wink as it begins automatic leveling. Once leveled, the laser module rotates at 600 revolutions per minute. If the instrument is improperly placed or its slope exceeds ±5°, the mode indicator and laser beam will wink together, signaling the need to reposition the instrument correctly.
Charging:
- When the voltage indicator lights, the batteries need immediate charging. Connect the charger to AC power and insert the plug into the plughole at the bottom of the instrument.
- A red indicator on the charger signifies that the batteries are currently charging.
- A green indicator on the charger signifies that the recharging process is complete.
Maintenance Features / Notices:
- Recharging the included rechargeable battery pack will be completed within 7 hours.
- The charger requires a frequency of 50-60HZ and a voltage of 100-240VAC.
- The instrument can be charged and used simultaneously.
- If storing the instrument or leaving it unused for a long time, the batteries (dry or rechargeable) must be removed.
- If the laser unit is not operated frequently, ensure it is charged every 3 months.
Horizontal Accuracy Checking:
- Place the instrument 50m in front of a wall (or set a scale plate 50m away). Adjust the base level to aim the X1-beam at the wall (or scale plate).
- After powering on, use a laser detector to measure the h1 of the X1-beam on the wall or scale plate.
- Loosen the tripod screw, rotate the instrument 180°, and measure the h2 of the X2-beam on the wall or scale plate using the same method as h1.
- Check the Y-beam in the same way.
