6. Ignition coil resistance
Disconnect the ignition coil
connector from the wire
harness.
zConnect the pocket tester
(1) to the ignition coil.
z Check if the primary coil
has the specified resistance.
Tester (+) lead
Pink Terminal
Tester ( ) lead B/Y
Terminal
Primary coil resistance:
3.6-4.8Ω(20 )℃
Tester (+) lead
Spark plug lead
Tester (— ) lead
Pink Terminal
zConnect the pocket tester
(Ω×1k ) to the ignition coil.
zCheck the secondary has the
specified resistance
Secondary coil resistance:
10.7-14.5 KΩ (20℃)
BOTH MEET
SPECIFICATION
OUT OF SPECIFICATION

Replace the ignition coil.
