DVD
‘Digital Versatile Disc’. A DVD player plays either standard audio CDs or DVD’s which can contain digital
video and an AV soundtrack, ie they can play Movies etc. Discs are also available with music only but in
Surround Sound format (DVD-A).

Facia
The front panel of a product, usually the part that holds the display panel / control switches etc;
Flatblade
Type of screwdriver: the name says it all - it has a flat blade.
Flux
(In soldering applications) - a substance which is used to help solder flow more easily. For standard
electronic soldering, the flux is usually incorporated in the solder itself and this is the type we recommend;
but it also comes in liquid, paste or powder form for other applications.
