Summary

Stem Installation

1.1 Apply Grease and Insert Stem

Apply grease to the stem bottom and insert into the steerer tube until the minimum insertion line is not visible.

1.2 Check Cable Routing and Tighten

Ensure no cables are pinched, then tighten the stem with a 6mm Allen wrench to 20-23Nm.

Rear Fender Brace Installation

2.1 Install Rear Fender Brace

Unthread rear dropout bolts, center brace, and thread bolts back into dropouts using 4mm wrench. Torque: 4-5Nm.

Front Fender Installation

3.1 Install Front Fender Bolt

Unscrew brake nut, slide brake bolt through fender flange, and lightly tighten.

3.2 Install Front Fender Brace

Unthread fork bolts, center brace, and thread bolts back into dropouts using 4mm wrench. Torque: 4-5Nm.

Front Wheel Installation

4.1 Install Front Wheel Axle

Loosen axle nuts, seat axle in dropouts, and tighten nuts to 30-45Nm.

4.2 Engage Brake Quick Release

Flip up the brake quick release if the wheel cannot pass the brakes.

Stem Adjustment

5.1 Adjust Handlebar Position

Loosen stem bolt, level handlebars, and re-tighten to 16-22Nm.

5.2 Adjust Brake Lever Angle

Loosen brake lever bolt, set levers to 30-45° downward angle, and re-tighten to 6-8Nm.

5.3 Align Stem and Check Insertion Line

Ensure stem aligns with the front wheel and minimum insertion line is not visible. Tighten stem to 20-23Nm.

Front Brake Adjustment

6.1 Loosen Cable and Adjust Bolt

Loosen cable clamp bolt and turn adjustment bolt counter-clockwise two full turns.

6.2 Route Brake Cable into Lever

Insert cable end into brake lever, slide housing, and ensure cable lock is down.

6.3 Tighten Cable Clamp and Seat Cable

Squeeze caliper, pull cable taut, tighten clamp bolt to 6-8Nm, and seat cables.

6.4 Center Brake Pads and Fine-tune

Center pads, tighten, re-tighten clamp, and adjust cable bolt to fine-tune brake grab.

Rear Brake Adjustment

7.1 Loosen Cable and Adjust Bolt

Loosen cable clamp bolt and turn adjustment bolt counter-clockwise two full turns.

7.2 Tighten Cable Clamp and Seat Cable

Squeeze caliper, pull cable taut, tighten clamp bolt to 6-8Nm, and seat cables.

7.3 Center Brake Pads and Fine-tune

Center pads, tighten, re-tighten clamp, and adjust cable bolt to fine-tune brake grab.

Pedal Installation

8.1 Identify Pedal Sides

Pedals are side-specific; check axle ends to identify R (chain side) and L sides for installation.

8.2 Install Pedals with Grease

Apply grease to threads, install R pedal clockwise and L pedal anti-clockwise. Torque: 28-37Nm.

Seat Post Installation

9.1 Insert and Align Seat Post

Apply grease to seat post, insert into seat tube, ensure minimum insertion line is hidden, and align saddle. Torque: 4.5-6Nm.

9.2 Adjust Saddle Level

Check saddle level (D); loosen clamp to adjust and re-tighten to 20-27Nm if needed.

3-Speed Hub/Shifter Adjustment

10.1 Set Shifter to 2nd Gear

Twist the grip shifter (A) to the middle position (2nd gear) on the handlebar.

10.2 Observe Shifter Alignment

Check the shifter box on the rear wheel for a yellow indicator line aligning with two arrows.

10.3 Loosen Lock-Nut for Adjustment

If adjustment is needed, unthread the black lock-nut (B) 1-2 turns using a multi-size wrench.

10.4 Adjust Barrel Adjuster

Turn barrel adjuster (C) to move indicator line. Tighten lock-nut once aligned.

7-Speed & 8-Speed Hub/Shifter Adjustment

11.1 Grip Shift to 4th Gear

For Grip Shift, twist the grip shifter (A) to the fourth gear position on the handlebar.

12.2 Trigger Shift to 4th Gear

For Trigger Shift, push levers (A) inward to change gear to fourth position indicated in shifter window.

11.3 Check Shifter Box Alignment

Look at the shifter box (A) on the drive side of the rear wheel for two yellow indicator lines (B).

11.4 Adjust Grip Shift Cable

For Grip Shift, turn barrel adjuster (A) to align yellow indicator lines on shifter box.

11.5 Adjust Trigger Shift Cable

For Trigger Shift, turn barrel adjuster (B) to align yellow indicator lines on shifter box.

Rear Rack Installation

12.1 Install Rear Rack Bolts

Unthread 4mm bolts from seat stays and dropouts. Thread bolts through rack braces and tighten completely. Torque: 3-5Nm.

Reflector Installation

13.1 Clamp and Adjust Reflector

Clamp white reflector on stem/handlebar, tighten, and adjust lens perpendicular to the road.

Tire Inflation

Tire Pressure Information

Check tire sidewalls for size and recommended inflation (e.g., 65-85 PSI). Check pressure before each ride.

Final Check

Stem Final Check

Ensure stem aligns with front wheel and minimum insertion line is not visible. Tighten securely to 20-23Nm.

Handlebar Final Check

Ensure handlebars are level. Tighten securely to 16-22Nm. Test by leaning on them.

Saddle Final Check

Set saddle height slightly below hips. Tighten seatpost clamp (4.5-6Nm) and saddle clamp (20-27Nm).

Wheels Final Check

Check front and rear axle nuts for tightness. Torque: 30-45Nm.

General Final Check

Test ride to ensure correct shifting, secure brakes, and no rubbing from fenders or chain guard.
