C
ongratulations on your purchase of the Lionel O-27 Uncoupling Track section! Now you
can uncouple and operate your rolling stock at the press of a button.
Wiring the Uncoupling Track section
1. Add the Uncoupling Track section to your layout. Insert the pins at the ends of one track
section into the open ends of another. For good electrical contact, the pins must be fully
inserted and the track joints tightly fitted.
If the track is difficult to connect, try inserting and withdrawing the track pin into
one opening at a time before joining the entire track section. Refer to Figure 1. If the
openings become too large, pinch the rail around the track pin with a pair of pliers.
2. As illustrated in Figure 2, attach one wire to the underside of the electromagnet and
connect it to a terminal on the controller button.
3. Attach the second wire to the other terminal on the controller button and attach it to Lock-
On terminal #1.
4. Connect Lock-On terminal #1 to the Power/A terminal on your power supply.
5. Connect Lock-On terminal #2 to the Common/Ground/U terminal on your power supply.
