Slide Topper Check List
• The slide room should not be opened more than 8" during the installation.
• The polycord channel hangs 1" past each end of the awning cord rail.
• Sealant has been applied to the back of the polycord channel.
• Each hole in the polycord channel is secured with #10 x 3/4" screws or 3/16" molly rivets.
• If the mounting brackets are mounted below the T-molding of the slide room the cord rail must be 3"
higher than the top of the T-molding.
• If the mounting brackets are mounted on the T-molding of the slide room the cord rail must be 4 1/2" higher
than the top of the T-molding.
• Slide topper support arm brackets are mounted parallel to the edge of the T-molding.
• Awning fabric should be unwrapped no more than one revolution prior to installation in the polycord
channel.
• Are Lippert supplied self-threading screws used to attach the spring head assembly?
• Are the slide topper hex rods secured in the support arm brackets with two Lippert supplied 5/16 screws
each?
• Is the awning fabric centered over the slide room?
• Does the awning fabric have one #6 x 1/2" screw, 1" in from each end of the awning fabric through the
polycord rail?
• Have the tension spring pins been removed.
• Does the awning wobble at the ends of the roller bar when it extends? This is a sign of bent hex shaft during
installation.
• When fully retracted the awning fabric is not floppy or loose.
• Does the awning have an anti-billowing device installed?
• Is the anti-billowing device installed between the 12 to 1 o'clock position? The device should be installed
towards the front of the unit when ever possible.
