Overview

The Liquid Image ApexHD+ Camera Goggles are a sophisticated electronic device designed for capturing video clips and still images, especially in snow sports environments. This product is not a toy and should be operated under adult supervision, particularly for tasks involving memory cards, USB cables, and battery insertion. All water-resistant compartments must be checked by an adult before each use.

Function Description:

The ApexHD+ Camera Goggles integrate a high-definition camera directly into a pair of snow goggles, allowing users to record their experiences hands-free. It supports both video recording at various resolutions and still image capture. The goggles feature a user-friendly interface with distinct modes for different recording types, indicated by LED lights. It also includes WiFi capabilities for use with other WiFi devices and apps for Android and iOS systems, enabling remote control and content sharing. The camera lens can be rotated up to 30 degrees to adjust the shooting angle.

  • Lens: F/3.2 f=2.75mm (135 Degree FOV), with a focus range of 0.4m to infinity.

  • External Memory Card: Micro SD/SDHC Card support up to 32GB (Class 6 and above recommended for peak performance). A 32GB Micro SDHC card can store approximately 20,000 images or 354 minutes of video.

    • RAM: 1GB (2GB recommended for editing HD videos).
    • Memory: 300 MB available hard disk space.
    • Graphics Card: 256 MB Graphics Card or above is recommended.

Usage Features:

  • Modes: The goggles offer four distinct modes: 720P Video@60 fps, 1080P Video@30fps, Still Photo, and Continuous Photo. Users can cycle through these modes by pressing the POWER/MODE button.
  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the POWER/MODE button for 2 seconds to turn on the camera. To turn off, press and hold the POWER/MODE for more than 3 seconds. The camera automatically turns off after 180 seconds of inactivity.
  • Recording: Once in the desired mode, press the SHUTTER/SELECT button to start recording or take a photo. The MODE LIGHT INDICATOR will blink during recording.
  • Date and Time Setting: The device allows users to set the date and time, which will be embedded in the photo or video file metadata. This is accessed by holding the SHUTTER/SELECT button and pressing the POWER/MODE button three times.
  • Battery Indicator: The LCD indicator displays battery life. A "LO" message and beeping sound indicate a low battery.
  • Data Transfer: Still images and videos can be transferred to a computer via the supplied USB cable. The device is driver-free for Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac 9.x or above.
  • TV Playback: Videos and still images can be viewed on a TV by setting the correct NTSC/PAL mode.
  • WiFi Connectivity: The goggles support WiFi, allowing connection to other WiFi devices and control via dedicated apps on Android and iOS.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Recharging/Replacement: The 3.7V 1150mAh Lithium Battery can be recharged by connecting the USB cable to a computer. The RED LED blinks during charging and turns solid GREEN when fully charged. The battery can also be replaced by unlocking and sliding open the battery compartment.
  • Micro SD/SDHC Card Insertion: The memory card is inserted into a dedicated slot. If the card is not FAT16 formatted, it will be reformatted upon power-on, so users must back up any data.
  • Lens Replacement: The goggles come with an extra snow lens. Lenses can be removed and inserted by carefully aligning them.
  • Face Foam Replacement: The removable face foam can be pulled off and reattached by aligning pins on the plastic part with holes in the goggle frame. An extra face foam is included.
  • Goggle Strap Replacement: An extra strap is provided, and the goggle strap can be replaced.
  • Cleaning: The device should be set up and maintained in a clean, dry space. A micro fiber storage bag is included for protection.
  • Environmental Protection: The product adheres to European Directives 2002/96/EU and 2006/66/EU, meaning electrical and electronic devices and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste but returned to designated collection points for recycling.
  • Warnings: Users are cautioned against opening the camera body, as this will void the warranty. Never use a screwdriver to open any portion of the camera goggles. In case of strong electrostatic charge affecting memory or key operation, reinstalling the battery can clear memory and restore normal function.
