Lay out floor joists, ensure the floor is square using measurements.
Place and secure OSB sheeting to the floor joists with nails.
Assemble wall plates and studs to create the wall frame.
Install window framing and headers, securing them with nails.
Place and flush Smartside siding onto the 2x4 studs and corners.
Ensure siding corners are flush and note the 3" skirt at the bottom.
Install header pieces, door stops, and trim blocks for finishing.
Install door trim and prepare for building the next wall section.
Install Smartside siding on the second wall, ensuring flush alignment and skirt.
Continue siding installation and assemble wall plates and studs.
Locate truss pieces and fasten them to the top plate with nails.
Secure trusses and install gable siding, ensuring correct alignment.
Install gable siding pieces and rakes, ensuring proper alignment and fastening.
Locate truss parts and install truss gussets, securing them with nails.
Prepare trusses and install temporary wall braces for stability.
Hang the assembled trusses onto the walls as shown.
Install trusses at 24" centers, add trim around the rake and front.
Position and stand the completed walls upright on the floor base.
Ensure walls are flush, fasten them with nails, and secure outside corners.
Fasten the bottom of the building and corners securely with nails.
Install 3" Smartside siding pieces flush with the top of the floor.
Install the roof sheeting onto the trusses and fasten it.
Install drip edge along the roof edges for protection.
Prepare for shingle installation by snapping a chalk line and installing the starter strip.
Continue installing shingles in a staggered pattern for weatherproofing.
Cut and install ridge caps to finish the roof peak.
Locate, install, and secure the window and shutters.
Install the top and bottom trim pieces around the window.
Install doors using black headed screws for hinges and securing the bottom.
Install barrel bolts for door security, marking and drilling holes as needed.
Drill 5/16" holes for barrel bolts in the correct locations.
Install door latches and aluminum corner trim with finish nails.
