The purpose of this supplementary document is to inform the owner/driver of the technical specifications and
components for the Lotus Motorsport 3-Eleven race version. There are a selection of road components included where
this has not been included in the main handbook.
Any alteration or misuse of the car or deviation from the instructions in this document or other documents supplied
with the car could result in accident or injury and/or damage to the car or third party property.
There is no written warranty or guarantee of any type associated on the race version of this product. To the extent
permitted by law, Lotus disclaims any implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness
for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow the disclaimer of implied warranties so this disclaimer may not apply
to you.
RACE’ VERSION ONLY WARNING THIS IS A RACING CAR WITH CHARACTERISTICS THAT DIFFER FROM NORMAL
PRODUCTION VEHICLES. PROPER TRAINING IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO USAGE.
No adjustments or servicing explained in this manual should be undertaken by inexperienced or untrained individuals.
Adjustments or servicing by inexperienced or untrained individuals can result in injury or death and may invalidate any
warranty.
Lotus accepts no liability for any direct, incidental or consequential damage or loss arising from use of the vehicle or the
application of these instructions by any person. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential
damages so that part of this disclaimer may not apply to you.
The vehicle owner or driver is responsible for ensuring the vehicle complies with their respective race and / or track
regulations.
It is essential that vehicle safety checks are carried out on the vehicle before each track session.
Never drive this vehicle without safety harnesses fitted, and without wearing the appropriate safety clothing. A full face
helmet is recommended for all drivers and passengers at all times. Lotus Motorsport strongly recommends that full
safety clothing, helmets, boots and gloves are worn whilst driving.
Only use an approved fuel container for refuelling in the pits. Always ensure the engine is switched off, and appropriate
safety clothing is worn during refuelling. Ensure fuel cap is in place and secured tightly before starting engine
Lotus accepts no guarantee that the vehicle conforms to the regulations.
The car can not be registered for road use and does not comply with road traffic regulations. Illustrations, descriptions
and schematic drawings serve exclusively as presentation for the text. Lotus Motorsport accepts no liability for the
completeness and conformity of the contents of this brochure with respect to the legality of the current regulations.
INTENDED USE
This vehicle has been designed for and is intended for clubman/amateur racing. It is therefore intended for ‘sprint’ type
racing and as such has some service intervals associated with these types of events.
Lotus Motorsport defines these races as being upto 1 hour of maximum race duration.
It is intended to be used on the specified TREADED TYRES ONLY. Under no circumstances should the car be driven on
competition slick tyres. Please consult Lotus Motorsport for advise should you wish to do so.
The car is a non-homologated car. Safety equipment where required meets the MSA or FIA minimum requirements.
Customers are required to seek there own approvals for any race series.
