Switching off the Engine
Ensure the vehicle is stationary,
the parking brake applied and the
transmission is in neutral (manual
vehicles), or in P- Park (automatic
vehicles). Also see pages 199 and
190.
Lift the rear of the START/STOP
ENGINE button flip cover.
Press and release the START/STOP
ENGINE button and the engine will
stop.
WARNING: Always take the
keyfob out from the vehicle when
exiting and ensure the vehicle is
in ignition mode 0 (especially if a
child is left in the vehicle).
CAUTION: If possible, after a
high speed or a high load run,
allow the engine to idle for a few
minutes before switching off the
engine. This will allow engine/fluid
temperatures to return to normal.
This will benefit the long term
durability of the powertrain.
