4th Gear Stop Adjustment

Replace the 'Gearbox Rear Housing' as previously described.
2.
Engage the 4th gear.
3.
Gently push the slider against the fork. Measure the clearance

between
the
slider and the 4th gear pinion, using feeler gauges.
4.
Place a shim of thickness
X
+0.5 mm between the pinion and slider. Ti
g
hten
the screw of the stop
(J
in fig. 5) until it bears against the shaft of the 3rd
and 4th gear fork.
5.
Tighten the locknut on the stop screw andcheck the clearance.

Interlock Plungers
To Replace
1.
Smear the bores of the interlock plungers with a sealing compound and knock
in the blanking plugs at positions (F) and (G).
Final Assembly
1.
Fit
top cover on the gearbox and replace the transmission unit as previously
described.

Remove the Geor Selectors and the Input Shaft as previously described.
2.
Remove the speedometer drive wheel using spanner 3179

gear rive pinion off the splined pinion shaft.

Release the forward bearing (bellhousing end! on the primary shoft by gently

topping the rear end of the primary shaft.

Releas&Re rear bearing on the primary shaft using the extractor

The inner bearing rings are in two halves on the primary shaft
