ALTERNATOR BELT ADJUSTMENT
To Adjust
The altemator drive belt should be correctl

tensioned to give a total movement of
12
mm
(0.50
in) on the longest run of the belt.
Slacken the top mounting bolt
(A
of fig. 7
)
and the adiuster bolt
(B
of fig.7
)
.
Move
the altemator until the correct tension
is
achieved, then ti
g
hten all bolts. Run
engine briefly, switch off and
recheck belt tension and readjust
if
necessory.
