17. The engine oil temperature is too high
The engine oil level is too low or the oil
grade is inappropriate.
Fill engine oil with appropriate
viscosity and above grade CD to
the specified level (5L-6L) as per
the environmental temperature.

pressure value
The oil pressure is not within (200-400)
KPa
Refer to the troubleshooting for
the fault of “No engine oil pres-
sure or low pressure”.
Piston, cylin-
der liner, pis-
ton ring and
piston pin
The piston ring is air-leaked, the piston
and cylinder liner are worn excessively,
and the gas goes into the crankcase.
Change the piston, cylinder liner,
piston ring and piston pin (Refer
to the Chapter 1 and 2, Part II)
18. High engine oil consumption
The engine oil grade is inappropriate.
Select a kind of engine oil with
appropriate viscosity and above
grade CD as per the environment
temperature.
The piston and cylinder liner are worn ex-
cessively, and the engine oil goes into the
cylinders to cause oil consumption.
Repair the piston ring, piston and
cylinder liner (Refer to Section 4,
Chapter 2, Part II).
The gas ring is installed in a reverse manner,
and worn excessively, and the oil goes into
the combustion chamber.
Re-install or replace (Refer to
Section 4, Chapter 2, Part II)
The front oil seal or rear oil seal of the
crankshaft is damaged, and subject to oil
leakage.
Gaskets of the
whole engine
There is oil leakage from the mating faces of
the oil pan, gear chamber and etc.
