19. Low starter speed
The battery electricity is at low level.
The contact is poor or aged.
The starter motor gear cannot be en-
gaged with gear ring normally.
Adjust installation position of the
starter
20. Cannot be started or be started difficultly
The air passage is obstructed, re-
sulting in negative pressure built up
in the fuel tank.
The fuel grade is not matched with
the engine.
Select an appropriate fuel type based
on the environmental temperature.
The sediment bowl switch is off.
There is air entrapped in the pipe-
line or the pipeline is blocked.
Release the air or clean the pipeline.
The battery is damaged or the bat-
tery electricity is insufficient.
The engine speed is less than
90rpm/min at the instant when the
engine is started.
Repair (Section 6, Chapter 2 of this
Part)
The engine oil is dirty, and the vis-
cosity does not meet the require-
ment.
Fill engine oil with appropriate vis-
cosity and above grade CD to the
specified level (5L-6L) as per the
environmental temperature.
The fuel injector nozzle is dirty or
blocked, and oil dripping occurs.
Clean or replace (Refer to Section 6,
Chapter 3 of this Part)
The fuel injection pump timing is
wrong, or the fuel injection pump is
damaged.
Calibrate the pump or replace it
(Refer to Section 5, Chapter 3 of this
Part)
Intake and ex-
haust valves
The intake and exhaust valve
clearance is inappropriate.
Adjust (Refer to Section 1, Chapter 3
of this Part)
Piston, cylinder
liner, piston ring
and piston pin
The piston, cylinder liner, piston
ring and piston pin are worn seri-
ously, and a cylinder pressure of
2400 kPa is kept.
Change the piston, cylinder liner,
piston ring and piston pin (Refer to
the Chapter 1 and 2, Part II)
