1) IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission):
An international nongovernmental organization which promotes internationally cooperated standardization in

2) Pollution degree:
An index indicating pollution degree of the operating environment which decides insulation performance of the devices.
For instance, Pollution degree 2 indicates the state generally that only non-conductive pollution occurs. However, this
state contains temporary conduction due to dew produced.
