MODE OF OPERATION OF iDC
• Continuous registering of lateral acceleration by means of a sensor.
• Evaluation of the signals registered by means of special software from BPW.
• The software detects critical driving situations which require an intervention of iDC.
• As soon as the limits stored in the software are exceeded, iDC intervenes, in that the motor located in the control unit activates the steering
rack via the gearbox.
•With the aid of an actuating link mounted between the steering rack and the brake linkage, braking is initiated via the brake cable assemblies.
• Once the car and caravan have been stabilised, the steering rack returns to the starting position and releases the wheel brake again.
