How to troubleshoot a LuxHome Security System control unit with a power LED off?
    • S
      Sean GarciaAug 19, 2025
If the LuxHome Security System control unit is not working and the power LED is off, first check if other electrical circuits are working to rule out a mains power failure. Ensure that the mains adapter is properly plugged into the socket and the socket is switched on. Also, verify that the DC Jack Plug from the Mains Adapter is securely connected to the Control Panel. Finally, check the fuse/MCB in the Consumer Unit on the circuit serving the Control Panel.

What to do if my LuxHome LHC100SK Security System control unit is not accepting the user access code?
    • J
      John ThomasAug 22, 2025
If the LuxHome Security System control unit is not accepting the user access code, ensure you are not pausing for more than 5 seconds between pressing the keys. If you entered an incorrect code, wait 5 seconds before re-entering the correct code. If problems persist, reset the system to factory defaults and re-programme it.

Why is my LuxHome LHC100SK Security System PIR movement detector false alarming?
    • P
      pmcbrideAug 25, 2025
If your LuxHome Security System's PIR movement detector is false alarming, make sure the detector isn't pointing at a heat source or moving object. Ensure it is not mounted above a radiator or heater, facing a window, or in direct sunlight. Also, check for draughty areas. If the sensitivity is set too high, reset it to low sensitivity detection.

What causes a LuxHome LHC100SK Security System control unit to not respond to detectors?
    • C
      Christina DunlapAug 26, 2025
If the LuxHome Security System control unit is not responding to the detectors, verify that the 'House Code' is correctly set. Ensure that the detector is within the effective radio range of the control panel and that the equipment is not mounted close to metal objects. If the detector battery is low, replace it.

Why does my LuxHome LHC100SK Security System have a full alarm when not triggered by an intruder?
    • N
      Nancy JenkinsAug 28, 2025
If a full alarm condition occurs on your LuxHome Security System when it hasn't been triggered by an intruder or is disarmed, check all detector battery covers to ensure they are correctly fitted, as the tamper switch might be activated. Also, ensure the control panel and siren are securely mounted to the wall and the tamper switch is closed. Consider whether a panic alarm was activated from a remote control or the control panel, or if the jamming detection circuit was triggered.

Why is my LuxHome Security System PIR movement detector not detecting movement?
    • G
      Gregory KellyAug 30, 2025
If the LuxHome Security System PIR movement detector is not detecting movement, check the battery connections. If the sensitivity detection is set too low, reset it to high. Ensure that the detector is correctly set up, that DIP switches 1-3 of SW3 are correctly set, and that the detector is mounted the correct way up with the detection window at the bottom, at the correct height (2-2.5m). Allow up to three minutes for the detector to stabilize. Ensure the detector is within the effective radio range of the control panel and not mounted close to metal objects.

What to do if my LuxHome Security System magnetic contact detector is not working?
    • E
      elizabeth09Sep 1, 2025
If the Magnetic Contact Detector of your LuxHome Security System isn't working, ensure the batteries are connected with the correct polarity and that the battery connections are good. Also, ensure the 'House Code' is correctly set and that DIP switches 9, 10, and 11 are set correctly. Make sure the detector is within the effective radio range of the Control Panel and not mounted close to metal objects. If an additional Magnetic Contact Detector is not connected, ensure the jumper link is fitted; if one is connected, ensure the jumper link is removed and that the additional contact is correctly wired. Finally, ensure that the Magnet is correctly positioned in relation to the Detector and that the gap between them is not too large.

Why is the detection zone triggered on my LuxHome LHC100SK, but no alarm is sounding?
    • M
      Matthew MartinezSep 3, 2025
If a detection zone is triggered (LED flashing) on your LuxHome Security System but no alarm is sounding, the entry/exit delay might still be running and hasn't expired yet. Alternatively, the alarm duration period might have already expired, and the system has reset, or the alarm duration might be programmed to 'no alarm'.

What causes the voice dialler on my LuxHome LHC100SK Security System to not operate?
    • D
      David ReynoldsSep 5, 2025
If the Voice Dialler in your LuxHome Security System is not operating, first check that the phone line is working by connecting a normal telephone to the socket and checking for a dialling tone. Ensure the Control Panel is connected to the telephone socket using the supplied lead. Also, verify that the voice dialler is configured correctly: the phone numbers are correctly programmed and enabled in the call routing sequence, the alarm message has been recorded, and the dial method is correctly set for the type of exchange (Tone/DTMF or Pulse).

Why does my LuxHome LHC100SK magnetic contact detector keep false alarming?
    • A
      Anthony PetersSep 7, 2025
If your LuxHome Security System’s magnetic contact detector is false alarming, make sure the magnet is correctly positioned in relation to the detector, and the gap between them is less than 10mm. Also, check that the tamper switch below the battery cover is depressed, ensuring the battery cover is fitted correctly and the fixing lugs are not broken.
