Thank you for purchasing the LyxPro CMG-50 Shotgun Microphone.
The LyxPro CMG-50 Shotgun Microphone is designed especially for
use with video cameras. Low noise and optional battery operation
make this mic ideal for professional lm, video, and television
production applications, in the eld or in the studio. Due to its high
directivity, the CMG-50 picks up sound directly from where the
camera is pointing and eectively diminishes noise from the sides
and rear.

this microphone can also be powered by an internal 1.5V AA battery.

not come o entirely. Do NOT force it). Insert the battery,
matching the polarity (+/-).
Close the battery cover and turn the base of the microphone
clockwise. Do NOT over-tighten.
To preserve battery life, remove the battery from the microphone
when not in use.
General Operation
This microphone incorporates a switchable high pass lter. This
is used to remove low frequency noise that is not part of your
intended sound source. This will aect the tonal characteristics,
so it is important to listen to the sound with and without the HPF
in circuit to decide if it is appropriate for the source.
The HPF is activated by a recessed switch located above the
battery compartment. A small screwdriver should be used to
access the switch as it is designed to prevent accidental toggling.
This microphone comes with a foam windscreen. Use of this
windscreen helps prevent sound interference caused by breezes
or wind.
When using the microphone outside in heavy winds, a more heavy-
duty windscreen may be needed to provide additional protection.
