This document describes the Magnusson 630mm Manual Tile Cutter, a tool designed for cutting ceramic and porcelain tiles. It is suitable for both straight and diagonal cuts, and includes features for mosaic cutting.
Function Description:
The Magnusson 630mm Manual Tile Cutter is a hand-operated tool used to score and break ceramic and porcelain tiles. It features an ergonomic handle (1) for comfortable use and a 22mm cutting wheel (2) to score the tile surface. The tool includes an angle guide (4) with a pivot for repetitive and diagonal cuts, and extension bars (5) to support large tiles. For mosaic cutting, a small removable plastic breaker (6) is provided. The guide rail (9) helps in aligning and guiding the cutting process.

Usage Features:
Preparation:
Before each use, the appliance should be checked for any loose, damaged, or missing parts. It should not be used if any part is compromised. The sliding bars must be moveable. The tile cutter must be placed on a stable, level, and clean surface that can support the weight of the product, the tile to be cut, and the force required for operation.
Straight Cut (03):
- Setup: To adjust the angle guide and guide rail, loosen the respective locking screws. Once in the desired position, re-tighten the locking screws. Fold out the extension bars for better support.
- Tile Placement: Place the tile on the product and push it against the angle guide and guide rail. Use one hand to support the tile.
- Scoring: Ensure the breaker with the magnet system is facing upwards. Gently press down on the handle with one hand to stabilize the tile. With the other hand, move the handle so the cutting wheel scores the entire length of the tile in one go.
- Breaking: Lift the handle. Flip the tile breaker so it is facing down on the front edge of the tile. Press the handle downwards to break the tile.
Diagonal Cut (04):
- Setup: Loosen the locking screws. For larger tiles, remove the guide rail completely. Adjust the angle guide to the desired angle and ensure the locking screw is tightened before placing the tile.
- Tile Placement: Align the tile against the angle guide and position it so one corner rests in the corner slot and the cutting line aims towards the corner slot. Support the tile with one hand.
- Scoring: Ensure the breaker with the magnet system is facing upwards. Score a full-length line on the tile.
- Breaking: Flip the tile breaker so it is facing down on the edge of the tile. Press the handle downwards to break the tile.
Mosaic Cutting (05):
- Removing Plastic Breaker: To remove the plastic breaker for mosaic, loosen the locking screw on the tile cutter body and detach the plastic breaker.
- Attaching Plastic Breaker: Clip the plastic breaker for mosaic onto the tile breaker with the magnetic system.
- Setup: Adjust the angle guide and guide rail to the desired position.
- Tile Placement: Place the mosaic on the product and push it against the angle guide. Support the tile with one hand.
- Scoring: Score the entire mosaic before starting to break any part.
- Breaking: Flip the breaker so it is facing down. Break each piece of the mosaic one by one.
Maintenance Features:
Cleaning (01):
The appliance should be cleaned after each use. Avoid using strong or abrasive cleaning agents. Remove any tile debris from the appliance using a soft brush or dry cloth.
Lubrication:
Periodically, and before and after long storage periods, lubricate the guide rods with anti-rust oil. Care should be taken to prevent oil from spilling on other parts of the appliance. Any excessive oil should be removed with a dry cloth.
Storage:
Store and transport the appliance preferably in its original packaging, in a cool and dry place, protected from sunlight, humidity, and dust, and out of reach of children. When not in use and during transport, ensure the handle is lowered to the stow-away position and secured to prevent swinging and damage. The appliance is heavy, so it should not be placed on high shelves. During transport, ensure it is safely secured at a low level where it cannot move, block the view, or fall down.
Cutting Wheel Replacement (06):
A replacement cutting wheel is stored in a compartment on the base. To access it, unscrew the knob to open the compartment. Loosen the screw of the cutter wheel mount with the 4mm Allen wrench. Replace the old cutting wheel with the new one and fasten the screw. Adjust the screw to ensure the cutting wheel turns smoothly.
