5.17.9 Automatic Light (if equipped)
The auto light and auto rain sensor senses the ambient illumination
intensity to determine the timing for turning the headlamps and tail
lamps on or off automatically when the light switch is set to “AUTO”.
• Do not clean the sensor with detergent or wax
• On a foggy, snowy, rainy, or cloudy day, be sure to use
manual mode. The turning on or off time of the lamps varies
depending on the climate, season, or circumstances
• Any aftermarket tanning film or spray may cause the lighting
system to malfunction
• Mahindra recommends you to use this function restrictively
only at sunrise or sunset
• Usually turn the head or tail lights on or off manually
• Turn on the headlamps when passing through a dark area
such as a tunnel
• On a gloomy day, do not rely on this automatic function. But
turn the head or tail lights on or off manually
• When the switch is turned to the “AUTO” position, room, tail,
and head lights might blink for a very short time. It is a
normal phenomenon recognising the automatic setting
