NOTE:
In the event that a full power missed approach or go around is
necessary the mixture must be moved to the full rich position for all eld
elevations otherwise engine stoppage may result.
4.4.11 Cross Wind Landing
When landing in a strong cross wind use a wing low, crab, or a combination method of drift
correction. Avoid a prolonged hold off by allowing the aircraft to settle onto the runway in a
slightly nose high and wing low attitude, touching down on the into wind mainwheel rst followed
by the other mainwheel and then the nose gear in quick succession. In strong and/or gusty
wind conditions it may be desirable to make the nal approach at a slightly higher than normal
airspeed with partial or no ap selected.
4.4.12 Baulked Landing
In a baulked landing (go-around), the wing aps should be retracted to 14° immediately after full
power has been applied. Upon reaching a safe airspeed, the aps should be smoothly retracted
to the full up position and a normal climb established.
NOTE:
In the event that a full power missed approach or go around is
necessary the mixture must be moved to the full rich position otherwise
engine stoppage may result.
4.4.13 Flight at High Altitude
For ight at high altitudes check regulation requirements for use of supplemental oxygen.
4.4.14 Flight Over Water
When life preservers and rafts are required, crew life preservers can be stowed in the side door
pockets. Passenger life preservers and rafts should be stowed or donned in accordance with
the operator’s Operations Manual or local regulations.
4.5 NOISE CHARACTERISTICS
The certicated noise level for the GA8-TC 320 at 1814 kg maximum weight and 2500 RPM
is compliant to Federal Aviation Regulation Part 36 Appendix G and ICAO Annex 16 Volume 1
Chapter 10.
