Low oil level
Worn teeth gears
Worn bearings
Top up oil.
Replace gears
Replace bearings.
Knocking or ticking
Chipped gear teeth
Foreign matter inside
transmission.
Defective bearings.
Replace gears.
Remove the foreign matter
and locate how the foreign
matter came inside e.g.
missing breather and rectify
that also to avoid recurrence.
Replace the bearings.
Jumping out of gear
Defective detent springs.
Worn out grooves in shift rail.
Shaft misalignment.
Worn dog teeth in gear
Worn out fork/ fork pads
Worn out synchronizer body.
Gear lever fouling.
Bottom lever slot worn out.
Replace the detent springs.
Replace the shift rails.
Check & Correct it.
Replace the gears
Replace the fork/ pads
Replace the body
Check & correct.
Replace bottom lever.
Unable to select gear
Clutch defective
Worn out selector mechanism.
Worn out brass synchro ring.
Gear clutch teeth damaged.
Rectify the clutch/ clutch
withdrawal mechanism
Rectify the gear selector

Replace synchro ring.
