Callout (A): 235 (Three-digit number):
This number gives the width in
millimeters of the tyre from sidewall edge to sidewall edge. This is
called as “Section Width”.
Callout (B): 65 (Two-digit number): This number, known as the aspect
ratio, gives the tyres ratio of height to section width.
Callout (C): R: This is the Tyre Construction Code. The “R” stands for
Radial.
Callout (D):17 (Two-digit number): This number is the wheel or rim
diameter in inches.
Callout (E):104 (Two or three digit number): This number is the tyres
load index. It is a measurement of how much weight each tyre can
support.
Callout (F): H: Tyre speed rating or speed symbol. Never drive the
vehicle faster than the tyre speed rating. The speed rating denotes
the speed at which a tyre is designed to be driven for extended
periods of time under a standard condition of load and inflation
pressure.
