Battery
Your vehicle is equipped with a Mahindra genuine battery. For
longer, trouble-free operation, keep the top of the battery
clean and dry. Also, make certain the battery cables are
always tightly fastened to the battery terminals.
If you see any corrosion on the battery or terminals, remove
the cables from the terminals and clean with a wire brush.
You can neutralize the acid with a solution of baking soda and
water. To prevent corrosion, apply petroleum jelly to the
battery terminals. Tighten loose terminals and hold down
clamp nuts only enough to keep the battery firmly in place.
Tightening excessively may damage the battery terminals.
For Best Battery Service
• Keep the battery securely mounted
• Keep the battery top clean and dry
• Keep the terminals and connections clean, tight, and
coated with petroleum jelly or terminal grease
• Rinse any spilled electrolyte from the battery immedi-
ately with a solution of water and baking soda
If the vehicle is not going to be used for an extended time,
disconnect the battery cables.
Battery Charge Indicator - Amaron (if equipped)
A battery charge indicator is provided for Amaron batteries to
view the charge status at a glance.
