Keep hands away from rotating parts. Do not leave the tool running. Do not touch the bit or workpiece immediately after operation.

Functional Description

Switch Action

Check switch trigger for proper actuation and return. Speed is increased by pressure on the trigger. Tool can be locked in 'ON' position.

Selecting Action Mode

Change lever for rotation with hammering or rotation only. Move lever to appropriate position for drilling concrete or wood/metal.

Assembly

Installing Side Grip

Fit teeth on side grip into grooves on tool. Tighten wing nut securely. Position can be changed in 30° increments.

Installing or Removing Drill Bit

Place bit in chuck as far as it will go and tighten by hand. Use chuck key to tighten all chuck holes evenly.

Operation

Hammer Drilling Operation

Position bit at desired location, pull trigger. Do not force the tool. Light pressure gives best results. Keep tool in position.

Drilling in Wood

Best results with wood drills equipped with a guide screw. Guide screw aids in pulling bit into workpiece for easier drilling.

Drilling in Metal

Use center-punch for starting holes to prevent slipping. Use cutting lubricant for drilling metals, except iron and brass.

Maintenance

General Maintenance Precautions

Always ensure tool is switched off and unplugged before inspection or maintenance. Never use gasoline or thinners.
