ADJUST Front headlights
RECOMMENDED SETTING
(as per standard ECE-76/75676/761 ECE20)
Adjustment of -2 % of the dipped beam harness relative to the
horizontal axis of the headlight.
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
- Place the unladen lift truck in the transport position and
perpendicular to a white wall on flat, level ground.
- Check the tyre pressures (
e2-DESCRIPTION: TYRES).
- Place the forward/reverse selector in neutral.
CALCULATING THE HEIGHT OF THE DIPPED BEAM (H2)
h1 = Height of the dipped beam in relation to the ground.
• h2 = Height of the adjusted beam.
• l = Distance between the dipped beam and the white wall.
REPLACE Battery failure

IMPORTANT
t
Operate the battery cut-off for a minimum of30 seconds after having switched off the ignition with the ignition key.
Handling and servicing a battery can be dangerous, take the following precautions:
- Wear protective goggles.
- Keep the battery horizontal.
- Never smoke or work near a naked flame.
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- In the event of electrolyte being spilled onto the skin or splashed in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with cold water for15
minutes and call a doctor.
- Open the engine cover.
- Bring a backup battery of the same type as that of the lift truck, together with
battery cables.
- Connect the backup battery according to the correct polarity with the (-) on the
engine earth1 and the (+) on the (+) of starter2.
- Start the lift truck and remove the cables as soon as the engine is running.

Raise the boom and place the boom safety wedge on the rod of the lifting cylinder (e1-OPERATING AND SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS: LIFT TRUCK MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS).
- Remove the protective casing3.
- Change the battery4.
