- Retract the stabilisers (9).
- Release the parking brake then move the load as required.
E - PICKING UP AND SETTING DOWN A HIGH-LEVEL LOAD
IMPORTANT
Before handling any loads, refer to the lift truck's load chart.
You must not raise the mast if you have not checked the transverse attitude of the lift truck (INSTRUCTIONS FOR
HANDLING A LOAD: C - TRANSVERSE ATTITUDE OF THE LIFT TRUCK).
Never lift a load with a single fork.
REMINDER: Make sure that the following operations can be performed with good visibility
( OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS UNLADEN AND LADEN). D - VISIBILITY).
- Ensure that the forks will easily pass under the load.
- Keeping the mast vertical (1), advance the lift truck and raise the forks up to the
level of the load (2).
- Extend the extender (3) and insert the forks all the way up to the front of the load.
- Put the parking brake on and set the forward/reverse selector to neutral.
- Lower the stabilisers to the ground (4).
- Carefully lift the load (5) then gently tilt the carriage (6) backwards to stabilise it.
- Carefully retract the extender (7).
- Lower the load (8) and place it in the transport position.
