Steam escaping through the GRS hole on your Manttra Kitchen Appliances can occur if the VPI hasn't dropped (is stuck). Keep the 2-way safety button in the “Close” position and gently tap the lid. This also happens when there is excess pressure due to a clogged vent tube. Press CLR/OFF, wait for the VPI to drop, remove the cooker, open it, take out the gasket, clean the gasket and lid, clear the vent tube hole, and resume cooking.
