••Inspectcordsetthoroughlybeforeeachuse.DONOTUSEIFDAMAGEDORCUT.
••Lookforsignsofcorrosionoroverheating.Examineendsofcordset,faceofinleton
boat,andreceptacleondock.Lookforcorrosion,discolorationormelting.Ifevidenceof
corrosion or overheating is present, DO NOT USE AFFECTED ITEM. Replace item or
seekqualifiedhelp.
••Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromcordset.
••Donotremove,bendormodifyanymetalprongsorpinsofplugsofcordset.
••Turnoffboat'sshoreconnectionswitchbeforeconnectingordisconnectingcordset.
••Connectcordsetatboatfirst.Fullyinsertandconnectcordreceptacleintoboatpower
inlet.
••Fullyinsertoppositeendplugintoshorepoweroutlet.
••Ifboatisequippedwithapolarityindicatorwhichactivates,disconnectcordsetand
correct polarity.
••Avoidoverheating.Uncoilcordsetwhileinuseanddonotcoverwithanymaterial.
••Donotwalkoncordset.
••Donotroll,dragorplaceobjectovercordset.
••Whenfinished,disconnectcordsetatshoreoutletfirst.
••Donotleavecordsetconnectedtoshoreoutletwhencordsetisnotinuse.
••Storecordsetwherenotexposedtosunlightorweatherwhennotinuse.
DANGER
!
In case of water immersion of plug or connector of cords set, AVOID CONTACT
WITH WATER. Immediately shut down power source and disconnect cord set. Rinse plug
and connector with fresh water. Allow to dry completely before reuse. When dry, spray with
electrical contact cleaner.
WARNING
!
Total amperage drawn through adapter (and any connected power cord) must
be limited to amperage rating of lowest rated (a) end of the adapter, and (b) any connected
powercord.Iftoolsorequipmentarepoweredthroughadapter,toolsorequipmentmust
have the same voltage rating as shore outlet. Excess load/amperage through adapter,
powercord,toolsorequipment,cancausefire,injuryordeath.

Operating Instructions
CONNECTION
Connecting the EEL to another cord and to insure a
water tight connection you will need the following items;
Male Connector with a Thread ring installed, Sealing
Collar and the mating connector with the
EEL configuration.
1.LocktheEELconnectorwiththeLockingThumblever
forward away from the blue LED. Thread the connector
collar in to the EEL end for a tight connection.
2. Insert the connector and plug and twist. Tighten the
Sealing collar to a secure tightness
MatingendmayrequiretheLockingringinstalled.To
install the Ring, Apply soap solution to shoulder of the
connector, with a twisting motion, force the ring past the
shoulder. (Warming the shoulder material will only help
in the process)
USAGE
••Toavoidoverheating,uncoilcordsetwhileinuseand
do not cover with any material.
••Donotwalkonadapter.
••Donotroll,dragorplaceobjectoveradapter.
••Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromadapter.
••Donotremove,bendormodifyanymetalprongsorpinsofplugsofadapter.

Always disconnect adapter from the shore power source before disconnecting
at the boat.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THIS WARNINGS WILL RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH
DISCONNECTION
Startbydisconnectingtheshore-powercablefromthepowersourceonshore(dockside).
FliptheLockingTabawayfromconnection,towardtheblueLED.SqueezeWingsand
rotateEELendofconnectorcounterclockwisefromconnection.Inspecttheconnectorfor
signs of overheating. Protect end of connector from dirt and harsh environments.

Troubleshooting
Marinco plugs, connectors, receptacles and inlets are engineered to provide years of
trouble free service. However, the marine environment can cause problems with even
the best design devices. Problems can be detected while they are small, it can save the
owner time and expense later on. The most common problem with electrical connections is
overheating.Fortunately,overheatingcanbedetectedandquicklyremedied.Thefollowing
are precautions and solutions to extend the life of your Marinco product.
What to look for……
Beforeeachuse,examinetheendsoftheadapter.Lookfordiscolorationormeltingaround
the blades of the plug (male end) and around the slots on the connector (female end).
Examinethefaceoftheinletontheboatandlookfordiscolorationormeltingaroundthe
bladesoftheinlet.ExaminethereceptacleattheMarinaandlookfordiscoloration,wear
or deterioration around the slots.
What causes overheating…..
Overheating is generally caused by one or two conditions: corrosion of the metal blades or
contacts, or bad connections between the wiring device and the wires connected to it.
Severely corroded blades or contacts are a result of exposure to a corrosive environment,
mostcommonlyhumidity.Corrodedcontactsdonotmakeagoodelectricalconnectionand
overheating will results.
Bad connections between a wiring device and the electrical wires can be a result of loose
terminations, corrosion on the wires or terminals, or the wires not being stripped properly
leaving the wire insulation under the terminals. A bad connection will result in overheating
of the terminal.
What to do……..

!
Wiring devices showing overheating signs should be replaced immediately.
Whenreplacingwiringdevicesexaminetheelectricalwireandmakesurethestrandsare
clean,andnotcorroded.Anewdevicewillnotmakeagoodcontacttoacorrodedwire.
Manyboatownersthinkoverheatingisaresultofoverloadingthecircuit,butthisisrarely
the case. A bad connection in an inlet will also cause the mating connector to overheat.
Alltoofrequentlyaboatownerwillmerelycontinuetoreplacetheconnector,notrealizing
that the inlet is causing the problem. Both devices, the connector on the cord and the inlet
