This document describes the Marta MT-EO4290B Electric Oven, a versatile kitchen appliance designed for domestic use.

Function Description

The Marta MT-EO4290B is an electric oven with integrated electric hotplates, allowing for a wide range of cooking and reheating tasks. Its primary functions include baking, grilling, and roasting food within the oven cavity, as well as cooking on the two top-mounted hotplates. The oven features multiple heating modes, a temperature control, and a timer for precise cooking. It also includes accessories for rotisserie cooking and grilling.

Usage Features

The oven offers several features to enhance cooking convenience and flexibility:

Oven Operation:

  • Temperature Control: A dedicated knob (3) allows users to set the desired cooking temperature.
  • Heating Modes: The heating mode selection knob (5) provides various options:
    • Upper heating elements only: For baking and grilling from the top.
    • Lower heating elements only: For baking from the bottom.
    • Upper and lower heating elements: For conventional baking and roasting.
    • Upper heating elements with convection: For even heat distribution and faster cooking.
    • Upper and lower heating elements with convection: Combines conventional heating with convection.
    • Upper heating elements with rotisserie: For roasting meat on the rotisserie.
    • Upper and lower heating elements with rotisserie: Combines conventional heating with rotisserie.
    • OFF: Turns off all heating elements and cooking modes.
  • Timer: A timer knob (7) allows setting cooking duration up to 60 minutes. An audible signal indicates the end of the set time.
  • Operation Indicator Light: A light (4/4a) illuminates when the oven or hotplates are in operation.
  • Accessories: The oven comes with a bake tray (9), wire rack (10), rotisserie skewer with fixators and handle (11), and a handle for removing the bake tray/wire rack (12). A shashlik maker (8) is also included.
  • Rotisserie Cooking: To use the rotisserie, secure food on the skewer with fixators, ensuring it is centered and does not touch heating elements. Insert the skewer into the drive hole on the right wall and the holder on the left wall of the oven. Use the provided handle (11) and oven mitts for safe handling.
  • Shashlik Maker: Similar to the rotisserie, the shashlik maker allows for cooking skewers. Secure the skewers in the designated slots and insert the assembly into the oven as with the rotisserie.
  • Placement of Accessories: When using upper heating elements, place the wire rack/bake tray closer to the top. When using lower heating elements, place it closer to the bottom. For both upper and lower heating elements, place it in the middle of the oven cavity. Always ensure food does not touch the heating elements to prevent fire.

Hotplate Operation:

  • Independent Operation: The electric hotplates operate independently of the oven. If the oven is running and a hotplate is switched on, the oven will stop operating.
  • Hotplate Control: The hotplate mode selection knob (6) allows users to turn on the left hotplate (larger, 185 mm), the right hotplate (smaller, 155 mm), or both hotplates.
  • Pre-heating: Before using the hotplates, ensure the oven temperature and mode selectors are set to "OFF."
  • Indicator Light: The hotplate indicator light (4a) illuminates when the hotplates are on.

Safety Precautions:

  • Always connect the appliance to a grounded outlet.
  • Avoid using the oven simultaneously with other high-power electrical appliances.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation with at least 15 cm clear space around the appliance.
  • Do not use near flammable materials, explosives, or other heat-sensitive objects.
  • Do not cover the appliance during operation or place objects on it.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water.
  • Do not use if the power cord or appliance is damaged.
  • Always allow the appliance to cool down before storage.
  • The surface temperature of the door and other parts can be very high during operation. Use oven mitts and the provided handles when handling hot parts.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not operate the empty oven for more than 15 minutes.
  • Do not pour water on hot glass, as it may cause the glass to crack.
  • Do not apply physical force to the door or glass.

Maintenance Features

Before First Use:

  • Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials and labels.
  • Wash all accessories as described in the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
  • Ensure no packaging materials or foreign objects are inside the oven.
  • To eliminate manufacturing odors, turn on all heating elements at maximum temperature (230°C) for 15 minutes with the timer. Allow the appliance to cool down afterward.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  • Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water.
  • Wash removable accessories in soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
  • It is recommended to clean the appliance immediately after use to prevent staining of plastic parts.
  • Do not use metal brushes or abrasive sponges.
