Overview

The VPod TENS, EMS & NMES Unit is a versatile health and personal care device designed for pain management, muscle stimulation, and therapeutic massage. It aims to provide a drug-free, non-invasive, safe, and effective solution for various muscle, joint, nerve, and skeletal pain issues.

Function Description:

The VPod unit combines Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) technologies.

  • TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation): Applies weak electrical currents to the skin to stimulate underlying nerves, reducing both acute and chronic pain. The VPod offers fifteen TENS modes.
  • EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation): Applies weak electrical currents to the skin to stimulate muscle contractions. This is used for strength training, rehabilitation, and to relieve muscle tension. The VPod features seventeen EMS modes.
  • NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation): Treats muscle atrophy and stimulates muscles in a resting state by targeting motor nerves to create muscle contractions. This helps recruit more muscle fibers during training, warming up, or recovery. The VPod includes one NMES mode.

The device offers a wide range of therapeutic modes, including:

  • Acupuncture (EMS): Simulates acupuncture sensations without needles, using electronic pulses to stimulate specific acupuncture points, correcting imbalances in Qi flow.
  • Cupping (TENS): Simulates the traditional cupping technique to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and reduce cellulite.
  • Scraping / Gua Sha (TENS): Mimics the scraping technique to break down muscle adhesions, scar tissue, massage trigger points, increase range of motion, and improve blood circulation.
  • Tapping (TENS & EMS): A light percussion movement that increases blood flow and oxygen supply, breaks up lactic acid and muscular toxins, reduces stress, inflammation, and swelling, and improves muscle flexibility and strength.
  • Knocking (TENS & EMS): Releases muscle knots, aches, cramps, and fatigue, while increasing blood flow circulation and improving metabolism.
  • Tui Na (TENS & EMS): Simulates hands-on body treatment to open Qi flow through meridian lines, effective for joint pain, sciatica, muscle spasms, back pain, neck and shoulders, and chronic conditions like insomnia, constipation, headaches, and stress.
  • Tai Chi (TENS & EMS): A traditional Chinese massage combining East and West practices for deep tissue massage, increasing range of motion, aiding recovery after injuries, toning muscles after workouts, digestion, stress relief, and relaxation.
  • Stretching (TENS & EMS): Designed to extend limb muscles, release tension, improve muscle elasticity and tone, increase muscle control, flexibility, and range of motion, and enhance blood flow.
  • Swedish (TENS): Increases blood oxygen levels, decreases muscle toxins, improves circulation and flexibility, and eases tension, particularly in the lower back, shoulders, and neck.
  • Reflexology (TENS): Applies pressure to feet and hands, based on the theory that these body parts connect to organs and body systems, providing relaxation and stress alleviation.
  • Continuous (EMS): Provides low-frequency vibrations to promote blood circulation and relieve pain.
  • Kneading (TENS): Simulates a massage therapist's thumb, fingers, and palms, focusing on hypertension and stress, improving range of motion, flexibility, treating tight muscles, decreasing pain, and improving blood circulation.
  • Thai (TENS & EMS): Combines acupressure with stretching, pulling, and rocking to relieve tension, muscle or joint pain, boost mood, reduce headaches, back pain, muscle pain, joint stiffness, increase flexibility, stimulate circulation, lymphatic drainage, and calm the nervous system.
  • Butterfly (EMS): A gentle technique with a soft touch to relieve tension, stress, promote relaxation, and improve overall health and wellness.
  • Toning Abs (EMS): Improves muscle core strength, firms, and tones abdominal muscles, and improves resting tone.
  • Muscle Growth (EMS): Helps preserve muscle mass in immobile patients, aids post-operative recovery, and promotes faster muscle growth for athletes.
  • Rubbing (TENS & EMS): Applies rhythmic pressure to stimulate tissue, increasing blood flow, toning muscles, and reducing pain, with therapeutic effects on muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems.
  • Trigger Point (TENS & EMS): Direct manipulation of muscular tightness in targeted areas, generating involuntary twitching to reduce tightness, restore natural balance, and improve range of motion, posture, and alignment.
  • Lomi Lomi (EMS): A traditional Hawaiian massage to release stress, strains, and muscle tension, treating body and mind as one, releasing tension, assisting blood and lymph flow, eliminating waste and toxins, and instilling peace.
  • Recovery (EMS): Speeds up recovery after high-intensity workouts, helps train harder, and decreases swelling in lower limbs through muscle pumping activity.
  • Striking (TENS & EMS): Simulates light, brisk, striking actions with clenched fists to stimulate muscles, increase blood flow, temperature, and tissue elasticity before exercise.
  • Combination 1 (TENS & EMS): Combines Acupuncture, Cupping, and Knocking modes.
  • Shiatsu (TENS): Focuses on pressure points to aid healing from sprains, arthritis, neck and shoulder stiffness, back pain, sciatica, digestive disorders, menstrual pain, fatigue, fibromyalgia, and musculoskeletal pain.
