3. lnstall
adjusting nut
and
tighten
until
steering
shaft
has a slight
bind when
turned
as
shown
in
Fig. 64. At
this
point
adjust nut
until
shaft
has
no
end-play with
no binding when
turned.
Secure
adjusting nut
with cotter key.
4. lnstall
bearing
at
upper
end
of
shaft
and
tube.
5.
Loosen
adjusting
screw in
steering
arm
and
install
steering
arm into
gear
housing
with
seal
and
retainer in
place.
6.
lnstall
washer
and
one
retaining
nut
on
steering
arm shaft.
See Fig. 65.
Tighten
nut
until
steering
arm has
no binding
or
end-play. Secure
retaining
nut in
this
position
with
a
locknut.
