Raise
rear of Tractor
and start engine.
Place
Hydra
Speed Lever in forward
position,
then
depress
neutral
return
pedal
which
will return the
Hydra
Speed Lever
to neutral
position.
The
wheels must
stop rotating
when
pedal
is released. Also
check by
placing
the Hydra
Speed
Lever
in reverse, the same
results
must
be
attained. lf
wheels continue to
ro-
tate the linkage
must be adjusted.
2.
To
adjust linkage, move
Hydra Speed
Lever
forward
and
parking
brake knob
down.
Now, depress
neutral
return
pedal.
The Hydra
Speed
Lever must
go
to
the neutral
po-
sition.
See Fig. 1.
lf not,
move detent
assembly by
loosening
two nuts
holding
assembly
and
move
it
until lever
is in detent
position.

Adjust
tension
on spring
to
con-
trol frictional
drag or the amount
of force
required
to hold
lever in
any
one
place.
Start
engine and
release
parking
brake.
Move
Hydra
Speed Lever forward
and depress neutral return
pedal,
wheels
should
stop. Try
reverse in same
man-
ner.
lf
wheels
creep with Hydra
Speed Lever
back
to
neutral
position,
control rod
must be adjusted.
lt
is
located
under
seat
on left
side.

For
a for-
ward
creep,
tighten nut
-
for
a rearward
creep,
loosen
nut.
After
adjusting
control
rod,
check springs
as shown
in Fig.
4. lf
they
have less
than .030" clearance

tween coils, control rod must be readjusted at
clevis.
Then, readjust
at the adjusting nut under seat
as
previously
described.
3.
To adjust brake,
position
parking
brake
knob
in up
position.
Disengage
brake latch by
depressing
on
brake
pedal.
Apply
approximately 4O
lbs.
of downward
force
on
brake
pedal.
A
clearance of
3/e
to %
inch must
exist
between
cam
and roller.
See Fig. 5.
To adjust, turn turnbuckle on brake rod until cor-
rect dimension is attained.
