the crankshaft

INETHOD
The crankshaft MUST be
supported
between
the counterweights when
pressing
on
bearings.
Use a
tooL
to direct
the
pressure
of an arbor
press
onto
the
inner race
of
the bearing when
installing. The bearing
must
be
seated tightly
against
the
shoulder
of
the
crankshaft
counter-
weight.
NOTE: This
method
is not 't,ecorn-
nzended
because of
the
great
force
needed.

justed
in an
adjustable
bearing
cup.

The
bearing
cup isremoved by tappingthe
edge beneath the
oil
seal
with
a
light hammer
and a
flat
punch.
Press in new
cup
until it bot-
toms
on
the
shoulder. The bearing cup must
be
pressed
in squarely.

torque to 65-110
inch-pounds.
