size
(by
inserting improper sized
drill
rods
for
cleaning pulposes).
Always use
a
new
plug
when reassembling.
NOTE:
When
installing
a neu) plug,
insert
a
drill
rod
harsing a
tight
fit
tnto
the idle
fuel
passage.
This
uill
pretsent
the ball being drioen
in
too deep.
On the
side
of the
carburetor body,
just
above
the
idle
adjusting
screw, is a
Welch
plug
that seals
the
4
idle
fuel chamber. This
plug
may
be removed for more
thorough cleaning
of the idle fuel mixture
passage
and
the primary
and secondary idle fuel discharge
ports.

Remove Welch
plug
by drilling a small hole off
center into the
top
of the plug
and
lift out with a small
punch.
2.
Clean
with
solvent
and compressed air. DO NOT
use
any tools that
may change the size of
the
discharge
ports.
3.
Install a
new
Welch plug.
THIS
MUST BE AN
AIR
TIGHT SEAL.
