Thermocouple Installation
Threading the female end of the thermocouple into
the interrupter block as recommended results in a
smooth surface contact area as seen in Figure 1.
Over tightening of the thermocouple can cause
damage as seen in Figure 2. Damage to the
thermocouple decreases the available surface
contact area and results in much higher resistance.
