1. A 5/8” diameter steel hitch pin and match-
ing R-Shaped Safety Clip (both not included)
are needed to secure the Dual Hitch Exten-
sion’s shank to the tow vehicle’s receiver
hitch - see illustration below.
Insert shank so that lower receiver (with col-
lar) is in downward position (this is for tow-
ing). The upper receiver, with no collar, is
for attaching accessories and should not be
used for towing.
2. The shank of both towed trailer and at-
tached accessories must be secured to the
Dual Hitch Extension with similar hitch pins
and R-Shaped safety clips as described
above. Hitch pins and safety clips are not
included. Make sure safety clips are always
fully engaged.
3. Read and adhere to all safety warnings
and instructions provided by the manufac-
turer of the receiver hitch and the trailer/ac-
cessory being towed.
4. Do not exceed the maximum weight rat-
ings shown in the specication chart on
cover page of this manual.
