The trunk is out of the operational
range, however, starting the engine
may be possible.

The engine may not start if the
advanced key is placed in the
following areas:
l
Around the dashboard
l
In the storage compartments such
as the glove box
l
On the rear parcel shelf
l
Starting the engine may be possible
even if the advanced key is outside
of the vehicle and extremely close to
a door and window, however, always
start the engine from the driver's seat.
If the vehicle is star ted and the
advanced key is not in the vehicle,
the vehicle will not restart after it is
shut off and the ignition switch is
turned to the lock position.
l
If the advanced key is detected
within operational range, the
operation indicator ligh t flashes
momentarily.
qLocking, Unlocking with Request
Switch
All doors and the trunk lid can be locked/
unlocked by pressing the request switch
on the front doors or the trunk lid while
the advanced key is being carried.

To lock
To lock the doors and the trunk lid, press
the request switch. A bee p sound will be
heard once and the hazard warning lights
will flash once.
