odorless. If you smell exhaust
fumes of any kind inside your
Mazda, immediately consult an
Authorized Mazda Dealer.
If you must drive even though
you smell fumes, keep all win-
dows fully open, no matter how
cold the weather is.
(Continued)
S If the engine is run in a closed
area, such as a garage, exhaust
gas can easily enter the passen-
ger compartment. Don’t run the
engine in closed areas.
S When the vehicle is stopped for
long in an open area with the
engine running, adjust the heat-
ing
or cooling system to draw air
inside.
S Snow under a vehicle that is
stopped with the engine
running
can trap exhaust gas. This gas
has fumes containing CO (car-
bon monoxide) that can enter
the passenger compartment and
kill
anyone in
it. Be sure to clear
away snow from beneath and
around your vehicle.
J Before
Getting In
S Be sure the windows, outside mir-
ror(s) and outside lights are clean.
S Inspect inflation pressures and con-
dition of tires.
S Look under the vehicle for any sign
of a leak.
S If you plan to back up, make sure
nothing will be in your way.
